Performance Big Band
Jazz Night School's ongoing large ensemble study experience:
- Develop jazz big band ensemble playing skills
- Work up repertoire (some model recordings are available)
- Get performance experiences and improv coaching
- Focus on stylistic phrasing, intonation, balance, musicality, dynamics, and fun
The Jazz Night School Performance Big Band is also an ambassador for the school and all its students. Performance dates are announced as they are booked. When applicable a portion of performance proceeds go to the Performance Big Band Scholarship Fund.
Schedule
Rehearsal times are Sundays, 7:15—8:45pm.
Seats are limited and filled by audition.

Student Requirements
Multiple session commitment (unless other arrangements are discussed). Punctual attendance and preparation are required. Attendance to all scheduled performances is required.
Students supply their instrument and possibly music stand.
$120 for eight weeks of 1.5 hour rehearsals with director or sectional leader. |
